About Us
Hello and welcome! We're Grace and Bao An, two best friends working in healthcare with a passion for baking.
How It All Began...
Chère Amie was created in 2021, in the midst of the COVID-19 Pandemic. As two Asian American women born and raised in Virginia, we've always been enchanted by the essence of Asian flavors. We would often get together to create new recipes with different ingredients like ube, durian, ginger, and matcha. Needless to say, we were wowed by the magic created in our kitchen, and this solidified our decision to share our magic to all of our friends in the greater DMV area!
...How It's Going
We still are in the process of pursuing higher education in medicine (Huge shout out to Bao An for her 2023 medical school acceptance!), but we also want to continue pursuing our love for baking and sharing. Our decision to open a delivery-only online bakery was made when we realized that our pastries taste best when accessible to everyone, including our loved ones whom are immunocompromised. In a span of one month, we've made over one hundred pastries!
